Our Mission
The City Park West (CPW) Registered Neighborhood Organization (RNO) exists to provide support, advocacy and information to the residents of the City Park West Neighborhood in Central Denver.
The CPW RNO was first established on October 17, 2000, under Denver Municipal Code, Chapter 12, Article III - this is the ordinance that gives RNO's their official standing. The neighborhood boundaries which it serves are Colfax to 23rd Avenue and York to Downing.
Our Activities
Here are some recent activities to give you an idea of some of the projects we work on:
Board Meetings
The Board meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30 pm. These meetings are open to the public. We are currently meeting at The Denver Book Society, but the location can often change.

Police Communication - Liaises with Denver's PD's district for neighborhood safety concerns
Membership and Public Relations - Grows and communicates with the membership
Zoning/Planning - Reviews development proposals and variances that affect our neighborhood
Events - Organizes community gatherings

Our Activities
Here are some recent activities to give you an idea of some of the projects we work on:
- Participated in the 22nd Avenue traffic safety study
- Actively involved in the 16th Avenue "shared street" project
- Helped save 1741 N. Gaylord St from demolition (a historic city park mansion)
- Supported the San Rafael RNO on community involvement regarding proposed development at 23rd & Washington
- Supported the South City Park RNO on their ongoing conservation overlay district efforts
- Attended the Landmark Preservation Committee and spoke in support of landmarking efforts of the Wilman and Wellington Webb home in Whittier
- Ongoing safety/mediation with The Gathering Place, Denver Police, Colfax Businesses and nearby residences
